Seals symbolism of provinces and city comprising the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR
On July 15, 1987, President Corazon C. Aquino issued Executive Order no. 220 creating the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR). It is composed of the provinces of Abra, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, Apayao, and Mt. Province and the City of Baguio. The provinces of Abra, Benguet, Mr. Province and Baguio City were formerly part of Ilocos region (Region I) while the provinces of Ifugao, Kalinga, Apayao were part of the Cagayan Valley Region (Region II).
As we celebrate the Cordillera Founding Anniversary, the Benguet Provincial Library presents the different seals symbolism of provinces and city comprising the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR). Seals are manifestations of ideas and highest ideals of each province and city.
Happy Cordillera Day!!!
