Cultural Communities Week- Evolution of Benguet dress / attire
As we observe this Cultural Communities Week for the second week of July, it reminds us about the indigenous tribes and honors their contribution and relevance to national unity and progress. It emphasizes the need of preserving their rich cultural legacy.
Locally, Benguet has a variety of culture passed from one generation to the next generation. Let’s us help to promote and conserve these rich native cultural legacies for the next generation. One of the material cultures that we inherit from our ancestors is the ethnic attire / dress / clothing. These ethnic attire / dress / clothing give a distinct identity for the Benguet people.
With this, the Benguet Provincial Library presents the evolution of Benguet dress and attire.
